What is a game jam?

A game jam is a hackathon for video games. It is a gathering of people for the purpose of planning, designing, and creating one or more games within a short span of time, usually ranging between 24 and 72 hours, and some even longer. Kentucky Fried Pixels lasts a full month from August 2 – September 1. All events throughout the month will be held at Warp Zone Louisville – our dedicated space for game development in downtown Louisville, KY.

Who can participate?

Anyone! Teams are made up of developers, 2D and 3D artists, storytellers, musicians, designers, and anyone who is interested in learning more about making games.

Where does the jam take place?

This year we are hosting KFP in Louisville at Warp Zone Louisville

What does it cost?

Absolutely nothing. We have memberships that support our organization and allow us to host events for our community for free in downtown Louisville.

To sign up and find out more details, RSVP on our Meetup page, where we post all of our community events!
