LMG will offer three classes this summer. See below for registration information.
- No prior experience required.
- Louisville Makes Games will provide all necessary equipment.
- Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Suggested ages are 11-17. Children under 11 are welcome, but parents should consider accompanying them for the class.
- Cost: $50 per student.
Beginner Game Programming in Scratch
Saturday, June 2: 10am–1pm
Instructor: Stephen Abrams – LMG Board Member, former mathematics instructor turned software developer.
Assistant: Seth Allen
Learn the basic building blocks of programming the fun way; by creating an interactive game! Students will learn skills such as logic, creative problem solving, and express themselves by creating a game they can share with friends and family.
Game Art and Animation
Saturday, July 7 10am–1pm
Instructor: Alex Bezuska – President of LMG and one half of Two Scoop Games
Assistant: Veronica Rivera – LMG Board Member. Graphic Designer and Front-End Web Developer.
Students will learn to take their creative ideas to the next level. This course focuses on using digital art and animation to customize a game they can play and share online.
Beginner Game Design and Development

Assistant: Eric Lathrop – Software developer and the other half of Two Scoop Games
Learn game design and development from indie game developers Ben James and Eric Lathrop. Students will make their own game to play and share.
