Into the World of Video Game Creation: My Presentation at the Bon Air Library

On May 21st, I had the awesome opportunity to present at the Bon Air Library in Louisville, Kentucky representing Louisville Makes Games. The topic was one that I am truly passionate about: how to get started making video games. The audience consisted mainly of enthusiastic teens, accompanied by some equally curious parents. Together, we had an open discussion about how video games are made.

Are you interested in game development? Do you want to learn more about the local game development scene in Louisville, Kentucky? Look no further than Louisville Makes Games!

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to promoting game development as a viable career in our city. Our programming classes for kids, industry talks, art gallery showcases, and other events all aim to educate and advocate game development. Our first major project was establishing the physical space called Warp Zone Louisville downtown, which we have made a home-base for all things game development in Louisville.

What is Warp Zone?

Warp Zone Louisville is a coworking space for anyone doing creative work! It is also the home base of LMG and where we host our events. All LMG events are free and open to the public, but you can work from Warp Zone Louisville 24/7 if you become a paid member.
